When you think of the world’s most dangerous birds, eagles or vultures may come to your mind. Surprisingly, the awkward cassowaries may cause way more damage than the notorious angry birds mentioned. It is the third-tallest and second-heaviest bird in the world after the ostrich and emu. The cassowary is one of the most dangerous birds, as its fierce kick can be fatal for a human or other smaller creature.

Speaking of ostriches, if you think these weird birds don’t pose any danger, you got it wrong! First, they actually don’t shove their heads in the sand — it’s an optical illusion. Second, these guys are kinda overprotective parents so if you ever want to approach their young, these heavyweight beasts who can run as fast as a car within city limits are gonna come for you. By the way, ostriches are the closest living relatives to T-Rex — together with chickens. So, here are some interesting facts you might not know about the most amazing bird species.
