12 Animal Powers Could Make the Ultimate Superhero

Superheroes are not only found in movies. Some incredible superpowers already exist in the world. We found creatures with abilities that are even more surprising, funny, and weird than any superhero. For example, each octopus has 3 hearts and 9 brains. Every arm (they’re actually not tentacles) has a brain of its own, with a central doughnut looking brain controlling the body as a whole. That means each arm can move around like it’s its own person!

The Dung Beatle’s Beetle can pull over 1,000 times its own weight, so, relative to body weight, it’s the strongest animal out there! That’s like you hauling around 13 elephants. The Thorny lizard sucks up water through its feet, so it never needs to stop for a drink. Just like a sponge, the water defies gravity and gets sucked upwards. The Green Sea Slug is one of the only animals on earth that can photosynthesize, that thing plants do to get energy. It’s basically its very own solar battery!
